According to some recent traffic on our clients' career center Web sites, Yahoo! looks to be developing a new search offering focused on jobs it crawls and extracts from company Web sites. We have been seeing a new Yahoo! spider program lately called CafeKelsa that spends a lot of time looking at job postings online. This comes on the heels of the Indeed job search engine and the approach of other job-focused vertical search sites such as DirectEmployers. While we will have to wait and see how Yahoo! plans to position CafeKelsa and what its final name will be, I expect that it will be offered to job seekers (and sold to employers?) as part of the HotJobs site. More to come I'm sure.
